Penny Black Saturday - White on White


Guess Im back with a vengeance!!! 3 posts in 2 days...love this Penny Black stamp so I thought I would join in with this weeks challenge. I used a craftwork cards embossed scallop frame and little snowflake ornament...very simple card used some pearls and ribbon the image was lightly coloured using stampin up watercolour crayons which I love!!!

Daring Cardmakers - my favourite things


well anyone who knows me knows my favourite thing is bling!!! so I made this christmas card using a bargain poinsetta stamp, scallop and plain rectangle nestabilities from craft at home. Bling pink gems and backing papers are also from there. used scalloped and oval punches from Stampin Up. cant remember where i got the little charm thing..think I stole it off another card LOL. theres some ribbon there and I used my twinkling h2os to colour in and some stickles....

I think Ive counted 8 or 9 of my favourite things on there the challenge was 5 so I guess Im doing ok!!

Daring Cardmakers, Anniversary Card


Hello all...again apologies for my lack of posts..I had lost my MOJO its returning but very slowly... this card is made using a white scallop edge card blank stamped with a Season on Joy swirl stamp from a Stamp Up set.. the ink and cardstock are SU almost amethyst.. The image is Penny black, the sentiment is Woodware and the gems are from my plentiful stash..

Charisma Cards - Diamonds


I know girls hardly a stretch for the queen of bling but I couldnt resist. The main image is Stampin Up Bloomin with Beauty Stamp set, used my nestabilities and the background paper is also Stampin Up Tea Party. The flowers are Prima, used a cuttlebug embossing folder for a border highlighted with gems.

Stamp With Us Recipe Challenge


This is a great fairly new challenge blog which features Stampin Up Products, this weeks challenge was a recipe of 2 card stock and 4 papers and no other embellishments. I used the Playful petals stamp set, almost amethyst and so saffron card and the Tea Party designer series papers 4 patterns.

It reminds me of my Mums kitchen which is a nice memory cos she has been gone for a few years now and a bit of nostalgia now and then never hurt anyone

Stamp With Us Colour Challenge



These weeks colour challenge was pinks, reds and blues, all really bright colours as you can see in the inspirational photo they provided. The card stock is all stampin Up - Pixie Pink, Real Red and Turquoise. The main image is from the Doodle that SU set. The sentiment is from Birthday Cheers and Wishes set. I used the SU scallop and oval punches also. The ribbons and buttons etc are from my stash.

Stamp With Us Weekly Challenge - Congratulations


Have you ever had one of those days??? This is my third attempt at a congratulations card for this challenge. All these gorgeous stamps and no mojo!!! What a nightmare!
Anyway this one was going to be scrapped and then I started doodling etc and trying to cover up ink smudges and even though I am a less is more type person in the end it turned out reasonably well.

I used SU real red ink and cardstock, SU Doodle That stamp set and stazon and watercolours. The black gems are from my stash and the sentiment is from the Cheers and Wishes SU stamp set.

Cute Card Thursdays - Quotations


I cant believe it has been 9 days since my last post. That is just beyond ridiculous!! Got some new Stampin Up goodies in and there is a nice quote in one of the sets called 'By the Sea'. This card is very basic just using SU choclate chip, natural and bashful blue card stock, choc chip ink and the stamp is coloured in with a watercolour crayon. I was copying an idea I saw in the SU catalogue to just colour in the girls dress. Hope you like it and thanks for dropping by.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 51 - Domis Sketch



Its been a busy week so a bit late posting everything. I used Anna Griffin bg papers for this one, A PB image mounted using my nestabilities. The flowers are by Prima, The sentiment is from Stampin Up Birthday Cheer and Wishes. I added a bit of Gold stickles to the image for a change.

I really liked this sketch and I sometimes struggle with sketches however I finally finished my card. I used SU Tea Party BG papers(cos they are the only ones I have, more on the way) The tree stamp is from SU Very Versatile (a great set) the cardstock is Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery. The Pink Elephant Challenge 17


This weeks challenge was to use a recipe which was 3 buttons, 2 layers and 1 sentiment. I think I have fit everything in. I found this old glitter card stock that I made the base with. I used my nestabilities for the two layers. The sentiment is from Stampin Up Wonderful Words collection. The buttons are from my stash and I just punched some leaves and flowers out of scraps.

Stamp with Us Recipe Challenge


This weeks challenge was to use 1 patterned paper, 1 flower, 2 ribbons and 1 button.
I went with the Stampin Up Tea Party papers and the flower is made using the Playful Petals stamp set, a leaf punch, various colours of card and some clear glitter.The sentiment is from the Cheers and Wishes set using the Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches. The ribbon is Whisper White. The button, sheer ribbon and gems are all from my stash.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #50 - Buttons Galore



I love buttons!!! So anyway had a go at one card using larger buttons and wasnt too sure about it so tried a smaller one. The stamps are both PB, the background papers are Artylicious (CD rom) The sentiment is Stampin Up, as are the punches (Large Oval and Scallop Oval) I added some Flowers and BUTTONS from my stash. I love blue and white together it reminds me of the good China dishes my Mum used to use (High days and holidays only thank you very much!!!)

Cuttlebug Challenge Be Inspired 32 - Hearts and Butterflies


Decided to have a go at this challenge, I used Pink Petticoat background papers. The base card is a scallop square card from Craftwork Cards, the butterfly sentiment is also from there. I used my cuttlebug swiss dots folder for matting and layering and then also the Cuttlebug Heart and Butterfly combi sets. The pearls and sequins are from my stash

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Recipe Card


This weeks challenge was a recipe, 3 flowers, 2 papers and 1 brad. I used my Sun Caressed PB stamp embossed in silver and coloured in with twinkling H20s and I stamped a 3 of the small flowers to use as embellishments. The papers are Basic Grey Wisteria, the sentiment stamp is from the Wonderful Words set by Stampin Up. The ribbon, brad, card stock and metal filagree embellishment are all from my craft stash

Stamp with Us - Colour Theme Challenge


Having a lazy Sunday and have made a few things to post. I found a Stampin Up challenge blog and having not long ago joined up as a demonstrator I need all the help thats on offer. They are great stamps to work with though and I have already got quite a collection.

I ended up making a card and a bookmark using the colour theme. The stamps sets used are Pocket Silhouttes and Wonderful Words. The card stock is Real Red, Mellow Moss, Barely Banana and the blue one is from my stash. I also used the Boho Blossoms punch for the flowers and some buttons and ribbons from my stash.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Black and White and 1 More


This weeks challenge is in the title. So along with the black and white, I decided on teal. The stamp is PB and the BG paper is Pink Petticoat, added some gems and ribbon from my stash. The mini flowers are from my new Stampin Up Boho Blossoms punch. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. Have had a busy day out to B and Q with hubby, realised that we have invited his family over for a barbecue next weekend and threw most of our old garden furniture out last year. Anyway went and picked up a nice new set and one of those outdoor log burning fire place things cos coming from Toronto and used to hot summers now Im in Scotland its too cold to sit out without one at night.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 10 - Sketch



Fantastic sketch over at the Sugar bowl this week. I am a first timer to this challenge but the Sugar Nellie stamps are all so beautiful its a pleasure to take part and hard to pick which one to use (well not that hard I only have 5 in my collection so far)

The papers are Basic Grey Wisteria, the buttons are Basic Grey the sunflower is from Prima (ooh have you seen these they are on a long stem they have different types tiger lilies and roses and I have only cut a piece off mine its huge.)All available at Craft at home by the way. The sentiment is craftwork cards and Blossom has been coloured in using watercolour pencils.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 59 - Happy Mail



This weeks challenge was to make a card to cheer someone up. I could think of two friends who are having a tough time right now. So I made 2 cards. The first one is all Basic Grey Wisteria paper and embelishments with some card candy and a sentiment from Craftwork cards.

The second one is a scallop card blank and ruffle from craft work cards and the Stamps are from Stampin Up the Pocket Silhouettes set. The ink is also stampin up Barely Banana and Apricot Appeal. Did I mention I have recently become a demonstrator??? Im buyin more than Im sellin I can assure you lol!!!

2 Sketches 4 You, Lauras Sketch 25



Great sketch this week by Laura. I knew right away what stamps I wanted to use. They were from the Sense of Time and Wonderful Words sets from Stampin UP. Funky Hand Design Team Call






Oh please let it be me!!! I love Funky Hand CD's and I love the shows with Anice on Create and Craft. I love the way the papers on the CDs make you think outside the Box. Here are a few cards I would like to be used as consideration for the DT call. Some using Funky Hand papers and others are not but they are all cards I just really love that I'm proud of. Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes

It was my second time there (its really new) and Janice and Florence and the girls made my friend and I really welcome. Cute Card Thursday Challenge - Get Edgy


This weeks challenge was to distress or tear the edges of your card, so I used Basic Grey Wisteria paper and embellishments (from Craft at Home). I tore and inked the edges in purple and made what I call Allisons flower by ripping and inking the paper again. The stamped image is also from Allison, which I then watercoloured in and decoupaged. great stamp I love it.

Paper Take Weekly and Pink Elephant Challenge 10


This weeks challenge at PTW was to make a card using pastels and the challenge no 10 at TPE was to use pink, green and yellow, so I decided to combine them.
