What a gorgeous day it is today so I guess it is definately Spring. For this weeks challenge I used my PB Bunnies stamp and watercoloured them in and cut them all out individually. The background paper is Anna Griffin the cardstock is coredinations from Craft at Home. Used a new cuttlebug embossing folder I think its been around for a bit but its new for me. Added chipboard letters, some ribbon and some layered flowers. This is an 8 x 8 card so its a lot bigger than my usual so it was hard to squeeze it in the photo lol!!
For a couple of years I had been admiring the Rubber Tapestry Stamp Kits I have seen on sale. I finally got myself a set and had a bash at it. I was so pleased with the cards. Major hint/tip: if doing a heart or circle shape draw your shape with a pencil and it makes it so much easier to do your stamping. I am definately going to get another set of these. I saw some great card ideas on the Card-io website. In fact might just head over there now and have another look
Great theme Happy Easter everybody, the papers are K and company and the stamp is Penny Black, stamped twice watercoloured and decoupaged. I love bunnies, couldnt find my chick stamp or he would have made it on to the card too
This months challenge was to make something using yellow. I used some paper printed from the Artylicious Butterfly bliss CD Rom in a yellow shade. The image is Penny black which was stamped twice, embossed in gold, decoupaged and coloured in with twinkling h2os. Other items used include coredinations card stock, nestabilities scallop rectangle dies, organza ribbon, adhesive stones and a sentiment from craftwork.
This weeks challenge was to use doodling somewhere on your card. I stamped my image on to a piece of card punched with a scallop circle punch. I doodled around the edges of that. The papers are DCWV floral and just kept it simple adding a few buttons, sequins and a sentiment.
I loved this sketch and I havent done this challenge for awhile so I thought I would have a go. I thought I would try out some inchies stamps I got at the SECC and didnt know what to do with. I saw an article in a craft mag so i took that idea and combined it with sketch. The papers are DCWV floral and the card stock is coredinations. I used nestabilities for the frame and a scallop punch for the squares. The stamp is Penny Black and i coloured it in with h2o's and decoupaged a few of the little flowers (fiddly but worth it) The ribbon and adhesive stones are from my stash.
This is a new challenge blog for these cute new stamps and papers. I bought a set of the stamps at the SECC with the rabbits Candyfloss and Marshmallow and my friend Allison got the Daisy and Dandelion so she stamped me a few and I used one on the card. I coloured in the black bits with a Sakura glaze pen to make them stand out. The papers are Jenn Wilson and I just used a bit of green card and some buttons, the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.
This weeks challenge was to feature something edible on your project. The only thing that came to mind was a Penny Black stamp with 2 mice eating strawberry jam. Anyway used a download from Shabby Princess as bg paper. bit of cardstock, ribbon, paper flowers, and a sentiment from Craftwork cards.
This weeks challenge was to get creative with punches. I used a scalloped edge square punch and punched out some card stock to coordinate with my backing papers. I then embossed each one on my cuttlebug. I added some paper flowers, black organza ribbon, some gemstones and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards.
This is a baby boy card I made using a little Claire stamp and some Anna Griffin papers and lots of buttons. I also used some ribbon and a cuttlebug embossing folder (swiss dots) on white card. Love buttons use them on everything
This weeks challenge was to use glitter and stamping. I stamped the kids quote sentiment in brown ink layered onto coredinations card stock. The paper and butterfly are both K and Company Wild Saffron. The cuttlebug folder used was Paisley. I just added some glitter here and there on the card but didnt go crazy with the bling as per usual!! lol!!! this will surprise a lot of people
Another new stamp from the SECC. Penny Black again, stamped and embossed in gold and then coloured in with twinkling h20s, the paper is old from my stash and the gold card is punched with my Martha Stewart double scallop punch. I printed out the sentiment and added some gems and ribbon
This weeks challenge was a recipe of 3 brads, 2 ribbons and 1 flower. The stamp is new from my travels at the SECC (what a great time I had, I was there 3 of the 4 days it was on) I coloured it in with my new watercolours and then decoupaged it and applied some glossy accents. The paper is Melissa Frances and I used my cuttlebug for the top panel (swiss dots embossed on white card) The ribbons are both Anitas and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards who I got loads of nice goodies from. I am going to send this to my Auntie Rita as a thank you cos I always go and stay with her on the Saturday night of the craft fair and then we go back in again on the Sunday (I know Im totally mad for it you are correct)
This weeks challenge was a recipe to include die cuts and ribbon. I totally borrowed this idea from a stand at the craft fair at the SECC although she did it in black and white. All you do is cut a circle to match the ink (I die cut one on my Cricut) stamp part of the image (Penny Black Flying Stars stamp I bought yesterday) in Versamark then embossed in white. I stamped the main image in Brilliance Pearlescent Lavender on to a scallop card from Craftwork cards. Then embossed with clear embossing powder. You line up the die cut circle's image over the main image for a snapshot. People have probably been doing this for years but I thought it was a rather novel idea and had never seen it before. The sentiment is another Penny black stamped and embossed to match. I punched 2 hole and then thread and tied my ribbon. Added a few adhesive gemstones to fill in a blank space that need something.
Am away to try some more of these in different colours/stamps etc.
This weeks challenge was to use watercolour on your card. The Penny Black Image was stamped and watercoloured and then decoupaged. The background paper is one of the new ones from Pink Petticoat (sweet flourishes) The cuttlebug folder used was Stylized Flower (my fav!!) Other items used included coredinations card stock, organza ribbon and a die cut sentiment from Craftwork cards
This weeks challenge was to use these colours. The papers are Anna Griffin and the stamp I borrowed from a friend but I think its Inkadinkadoo (waterolour pencils used to colour in). Used my Martha Stewart punch and nestabilities scallop rectangular die. Apologies for the picture its not the greatest.
Am off to the craft fair at the Glasgow SECC tomorrow with Allison and I am going to have a clear out in this wee room of mine so I dont double up tomorrow and buy things I already have!!! Lol!!
This really was a challenge because I couldnt find a Penny Black Image with food of any kind. So I used a Pink Petticoat download instead. I used a Penny Black Enjoy stamp and made a background with brilliance ink. Used some pink card stock and added ribbon and some flowers with buttons
I am originally from Toronto but now live in Scotland with my husband Chris and our sons Kieran(16) and Liam (13).
I go home to Canada to visit as often as I can. It was there I got introduced to scrapbooking and then my Aunt Rita who lives in Scotland got me hooked on card making.
I love all things spiritual and have a big interest in the Paranormal. I love any movies or TV shows on this subject.
I attend a weekly craft club at Craft at Home in Blantyre and everyone there are like family to me.
I could say more but I have really started this blog so I could meet new friends interested in crafting and would really like to know more about YOU!!!!
