Another sketch and I loved this one because it gave me lots of room to work. The backing paper is the new Pink Petticoat, the image is Penny Black, coloured in with twinkly h2os and the matt is made using twinkling h2os and embossed thru the cuttlebug. I got very ambitious and decoupaged some of the little flowers.
This is a great new blog and have participated in the first 3 challenges. This weeks was based on a sketch. I used lots of different materials. The papers are Artylicious Damask Delights and I also used some paper I made myself spraying Glimmer mists onto card. The image is Penny black. The flourish is stamped and embossed in gold and I used some gold stickles as well
The challenge this week to have an animal somewhere on your card, I used the new Pink Petticoat download available called Sweet Flourishes. Stamped the Penny Black image and watercoloured in. Added some ribbon, flower and buttons from my stash
There were 3 on offer but I decided to go with Pink and Green. The papers are Basic Grey Sugared as well as the chipboard flower. Cut out some flourishes on my cricut added a tag with a sentiment from Pink Petticoat. Cut and embossed a butterfly on my cuttlebug. Ribbon and buttons are from my stash.
This weeks challenge was to make a get well card. I have used DCWV papers (old as the hills)and some coredinations card stock. The stamp is Garden Poems, which was embossed in gold and coloured in with watercolour pencils. Ribbon and greeting from my stash.
The challenge this week was to used glitter or sparkle and anyone who knows me will be laughing already cos I am known as the Queen of Bling!!!
Anyway used a new download I got from Pink Petticoat (Sweet Sundaes) for the backing papers and the image. The image was coloured in and glittered (of course) then matted and layered onto glitter card. Added a few sequins (I know its over the top but the theme is Glitter so I have been given license to sparkle) Added some shimmery ribbon and glittery button and I thought if I put any more on here it will not be able to stand up on its own. lol
This weeks challenge was to make a matching set, so I went for a card and matching bookmark. The papers are Damask Delight by Artylicious, I used the stamp at Craft at Home not sure who makes it and watercoloured in the butterfly adding gold stickles glue. I took some glimmer mist in starfish and tiger lily and sprayed on a bit of card to use for one of the layers. The sentiment is run through the cuttlebug just added a few gems here and there.
This weeks challenge was to use plenty of green in your card. I printed off some paper from the Artylicious Peacock summer party CD rom. Stamped and embossed some of the stamps from the Graphics Perfum de Paris stamp plate (in gold) Just basically layered it all up the other stamp in the corner is from Craft at Home (2 corner stamps for £1.99 cant complain about that) Also used some gold mirror card and some coredinations card stock from Craft at Home. Finished off with some green Bling!!
Decided to go with an Anniversary card since Valentines Day was yesterday. Used Basic Grey Sugared papers and chipboard hearts. Some coredinations card stock and my martha stewart double scallop punch. The sentiment was from Pink Petticoat, just added a bit of green velvet ribbon.
Made a wedding cake card from a template, used K and co wedding papers and used Cuttlebug to cut and emboss flowers and borders punched with Martha Stewart punch. Added a few pearls and artificial flowers, a sentiment and some ribbon.
I loved this sketch, used some Basic Grey papers, used my cricut to cut 2 of the shapes and my cuttlebug to emboss and martha stewart punch for the border. Added a sentiment, a bit of ribbon, a flower embellishment and some buttons. It sounds so simple but it took me ages playing around with it. It was just one of the things if you know what i mean
This weeks challenge was to use a DL size card or similar for your challenge entry. The stamp is called Sleeping under Flowers, the papers and sentiment are from Pink Petticoat, flowers, hearts and cardstock from my stash. This is a good challenge because this can be one of the hardest size card layouts to keep in balance and proportion.
Well its certainly not like me to be 'with it' or 'on trend' but I read about this new blog on a friends site and decided to give it a try. The first challenge was to use Pink, Black and White. I used papers and a sentiment from Pink Petticoat and some other bits and pieces from my stash. Hope their new blog is a big success
Glenda is giving away a set of her new stamps that she will soon be demonstrating on Create and Craft, go on over to the Graphicus blog and check it out the address is on my blog list. Her stuff is gorgeous and I am slowly building my collection I have all the CD roms and have now started on the stamps. Good luck
When I think Romance I think flowers. Used my Wind Caressed PB stamp and embossed in gold, coloured in with twinkling h2o's. Stamped and embossed the word 'Amour' in gold. The background paper is DCWV but the smaller background I used to mat the image with is a bit of white card sprayed with Glimmer Mists in Spring Violet( i have finally gave in and bought some have had my eye on them forever) I ran some cardstock through the cuttlebug and then rubbed a brilliance pearl ink pad over to match in with the other colours. Just added some fibres and a flower.
This months challenge was to use either the colours brick and teal together or the theme of home or use both together. I decided to go for the colour scheme and I printed off some papers off of the Artylicious Peacock Summer Party CD. I wasnt sure if the colours would work but the of course they do or they wouldnt have used it for the challenge. I stamped and embossed in gold a stamp from Elusive Images added some bronze organza ribbon and a gold butterfly charm. Its not like me to admit it but I really like this card!
This weeks challenge was to make an oriental card without using red or black. Its so funny cos right away I thought of a kit I had got from QVC that was in my paper museum you know the stuff thats beautiful to cut into. So I used it make a card in shades of purple and pink!!! My friend had the same kit and was afraid to use hers too but did for this challenge also. Great minds think alike. I added a coin and some ribbon from my stash.
Well here are my entries/application for the House Mouse Design Team. I have been encouraged by my friend to apply, I have never been brave enough before. Why would I like to be on the House Mouse Design Team???? I love love love cute stamps!!!! I try to take them and make them into something pretty and cute all at the same time. I love bling etc and try to use it tastefully and I think I have found a style that is all my own. I hope the girls will consider me and would like to thank everyone who has visited my blog and for their kind words of support and encouragement. I have looked at the other entries and belive me they are all so deserving I wouldnt want to have to pick the winners.
Had to use my new Russian doll stamps I got at Craft at Home. I used the 2 Scoops paper again this week. I stamped and embossed the dolls in gold and coloured in using twinkling H20's and then decoupaged them, then just cut and layered everything up according to the sketch. added some ribbon and a sentiment and a bit of stickles in aqua.
Well someone is definately thinking outside the box here. Great challenge. cut 2 shapes on my cricut with lilac card and pink petticoat dotted paper. Adhered to a square card blank and cut around edges. Penny Black Stamps is Hugs which has just been watercoloured in. Add some buttons, flower, bling and sentiment from my stash.
