Artygirlz Challenge 49 - Summer Theme

Kept it very simple, the weather in Scotland has been dire this 'summer', so its a bit of a dirty word around here!!! I used papers from Funky Hand, and some vellum for part of the back ground and the butterfly, I have used and abused this particular Cuttlebug die. I punched out some coredinations pink card stock and sanded it to reveal the core where i had embosed it with the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls folder. some pink brads to hold the vellum in place and (where would i be without my) bling on the butterfly's body.

I was a busy girl last nite!!! Made this again using jen wilson candy cane lane papers but
this time using a 'Noel' template i got at craft at home. You can get a better look at the
sanded 'coredinatations' effect i mentioned in my last post. just added some die cut
pointsetta and flourishes. tied some ribbons to look like rags on
to book rings. its a lot easier than i thought it would be. ive got a template for 'BABY', 'LOVE', and 'FAB' and they are so useful and you can get so many different looks with them.

Grungy poinsetta

I made this card with Candy Cane Lane papers from Jen Wilson Designs, the scallop square was cut from a template and the pointsetta was made using a sissix die courtesy of my Auntie Rita. The centre is embossed through the cuttlebug on red 'coredinations' card then sanded to reveal the colour core through the pattern. I love this effect there are samples of it by a talented card designer on display at Craft at Home in Blantyre. Its amazing what you can do with this stuff!!!! just added at tag and a peel off and bobs ur uncle.

Penny Black Butterfly stamp

This was one of those things, were you keep adding bits and pieces trying to get the balance right. Still am not one hundred percent sure i even like it. Backing papers are from Damask Delights CD rom from Artylicious by Elusive Images. Yes i do go through a lot of ink printing all this stuff off!!!

Share the Love!!!

Made this one with Le Cremarie Fraise papers downloaded from Digital Downloads (yes another site i found) The rose is a template that i traced and cut out into the swirly design. The button is a pottery button i picked up today at my local craft shop. It is really cool and i got about 2 dozen and no two are alike.
