Guess Im back with a vengeance!!! 3 posts in 2 days...love this Penny Black stamp so I thought I would join in with this weeks challenge. I used a craftwork cards embossed scallop frame and little snowflake ornament...very simple card used some pearls and ribbon the image was lightly coloured using stampin up watercolour crayons which I love!!!

well anyone who knows me knows my favourite thing is bling!!! so I made this christmas card using a bargain poinsetta stamp, scallop and plain rectangle nestabilities from craft at home. Bling pink gems and backing papers are also from there. used scalloped and oval punches from Stampin Up. cant remember where i got the little charm thing..think I stole it off another card LOL. theres some ribbon there and I used my twinkling h2os to colour in and some stickles....

I think Ive counted 8 or 9 of my favourite things on there the challenge was 5 so I guess Im doing ok!!

This is a great fairly new challenge blog which features Stampin Up Products, this weeks challenge was a recipe of 2 card stock and 4 papers and no other embellishments. I used the Playful petals stamp set, almost amethyst and so saffron card and the Tea Party designer series papers 4 patterns.

It reminds me of my Mums kitchen which is a nice memory cos she has been gone for a few years now and a bit of nostalgia now and then never hurt anyone

Stamp With Us Weekly Challenge - Congratulations

Have you ever had one of those days??? This is my third attempt at a congratulations card for this challenge. All these gorgeous stamps and no mojo!!! What a nightmare!
Anyway this one was going to be scrapped and then I started doodling etc and trying to cover up ink smudges and even though I am a less is more type person in the end it turned out reasonably well.

I used SU real red ink and cardstock, SU Doodle That stamp set and stazon and watercolours. The black gems are from my stash and the sentiment is from the Cheers and Wishes SU stamp set.

I cant believe it has been 9 days since my last post. That is just beyond ridiculous!! Got some new Stampin Up goodies in and there is a nice quote in one of the sets called 'By the Sea'. This card is very basic just using SU choclate chip, natural and bashful blue card stock, choc chip ink and the stamp is coloured in with a watercolour crayon. I was copying an idea I saw in the SU catalogue to just colour in the girls dress. Hope you like it and thanks for dropping by.

I love buttons!!! So anyway had a go at one card using larger buttons and wasnt too sure about it so tried a smaller one. Having a lazy Sunday and have made a few things to post. I found a Stampin Up challenge blog and having not long ago joined up as a demonstrator I need all the help thats on offer. They are great stamps to work with though and I have already got quite a collection.

I ended up making a card and a bookmark using the colour theme. The stamps sets used are Pocket Silhouttes and Wonderful Words. The card stock is Real Red, Mellow Moss, Barely Banana and the blue one is from my stash. I also used the Boho Blossoms punch for the flowers and some buttons and ribbons from my stash.

Fantastic sketch over at the Sugar bowl this week. I am a first timer to this challenge but the Sugar Nellie stamps are all so beautiful its a pleasure to take part and hard to pick which one to use (well not that hard I only have 5 in my collection so far)

The papers are Basic Grey Wisteria, the buttons are Basic Grey the sunflower is from Prima (ooh have you seen these they are on a long stem they have different types tiger lilies and roses and I have only cut a piece off mine its huge.)All available at Craft at home by the way. This weeks challenge was to make a card to cheer someone up. I could think of two friends who are having a tough time right now. So I made 2 cards. The first one is all Basic Grey Wisteria paper and embelishments with some card candy and a sentiment from Craftwork cards.

The second one is a scallop card blank and ruffle from craft work cards and the Stamps are from Stampin Up the Pocket Silhouettes set. The ink is also stampin up Barely Banana and Apricot Appeal. I tore and inked the edges in purple and made what I call Allisons flower by ripping and inking the paper again. Had a great night last night my pals Allison and Tina were over for a crafty girls night in. Allison brought her new Sugar Nellie stamps (what a bonus for us!!!) so we had fun with them. The gorguss girl is the cutest and the other stamp by Leanne Ellis was my favourite so that is the one I chose for using for Sketch Saturday. The papers on both and the flowers onare from Prima. I used watercolours to colour in both images. Allison brought her Copics but I still cant get to grips with them yet. Anyway we had a great time and I hope you are all having a Happy Easter!!!

Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 55 Marshmallows and Chocolate

This weeks challenge was to use pink and brown on your card. A lot of the things I used were in a goody bag I bought from Craftwork cards, eg, the paper, the flowers, the card candy and the sentiment. The stamp is Penny Black Cheescake Wishes and I used a scallop circle punch to stamp on and stamped again on a piece of spare card and than watercoloured and decoupaged. The ribbon is from my stash.

I loved this challenge, love pink and brown together.

Hello all

Just so excited cos I have won last weeks CCT prize. I dont know if its a random selection and I just got lucky and I couldnt care less, its my first challenge win and Im as happy as a pig in the proverbial!!!

Also just to let you know that I have just signed up to be a Stampin Up demonstrator. I am the only one in my local area, the closest other demonstrators are in Glasgow and Edinburgh, I am the only one in South Lanarkshire (Hamilton/Motherwell etc.)

I am not a sales person but Im hoping my love and enthusiasm for stamping and crafting in general will help me on my way (hey even if it funds my 'habit' I will be happy lol)

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Easter Theme

Well doing all these challenges is one way of getting my Easter cards done. The image on this card is courtesy of Allison who stamped me a few out. I didnt have to do much to the little bunny just a touch of colour and glitter and I cut and decoupaged one layer. The paper is Pink Petticoat Sweet Flourishes download well technically it is the washed out download with the flourishes printed on top which was a happy accident by the way. I also printed the flourishes on to vellum and ripped a piece, inked the edges and attached it onto some white card with the brads. Finally added some flowers and gems. Was determined to get this card posted right away as I seem to be getting later and later with my challenge posts.

Cute Card Thursday - Citrus Colours

What a gorgeous day it is today so I guess it is definately Spring. For this weeks challenge I used my PB Bunnies stamp and watercoloured them in and cut them all out individually. The background paper is Anna Griffin the cardstock is coredinations from Craft at Home. Used a new cuttlebug embossing folder I think its been around for a bit but its new for me. Added chipboard letters, some ribbon and some layered flowers. This is an 8 x 8 card so its a lot bigger than my usual so it was hard to squeeze it in the photo lol!!

Rubber Stamp Tapestry

For a couple of years I had been admiring the Rubber Tapestry Stamp Kits I have seen on sale. I finally got myself a set and had a bash at it. I was so pleased with the cards. Major hint/tip: if doing a heart or circle shape draw your shape with a pencil and it makes it so much easier to do your stamping. I am definately going to get another set of these. I saw some great card ideas on the Card-io website. In fact might just head over there now and have another look

I loved this sketch and I havent done this challenge for awhile so I thought I would have a go. I thought I would try out some inchies stamps I got at the SECC and didnt know what to do with. I saw an article in a craft mag so i took that idea and combined it with sketch. The papers are DCWV floral and the card stock is coredinations. I used nestabilities for the frame and a scallop punch for the squares. The stamp is Penny Black and i coloured it in with h2o's and decoupaged a few of the little flowers (fiddly but worth it) The ribbon and adhesive stones are from my stash.

This is a new challenge blog for these cute new stamps and papers. I bought a set of the stamps at the SECC with the rabbits Candyfloss and Marshmallow and my friend Allison got the Daisy and Dandelion so she stamped me a few and I used one on the card. The paper and butterfly are both K and Company Wild Saffron. The cuttlebug folder used was Paisley. I just added some glitter here and there on the card but didnt go crazy with the bling as per usual!! lol!!! this will surprise a lot of people

This weeks challenge was a recipe of 3 brads, 2 ribbons and 1 flower. The stamp is new from my travels at the SECC (what a great time I had, I was there 3 of the 4 days it was on) I coloured it in with my new watercolours and then decoupaged it and applied some glossy accents. The paper is Melissa Frances and I used my cuttlebug for the top panel (swiss dots embossed on white card) The ribbons are both Anitas and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards who I got loads of nice goodies from. I am going to send this to my Auntie Rita as a thank you cos I always go and stay with her on the Saturday night of the craft fair and then we go back in again on the Sunday (I know Im totally mad for it you are correct)

The Pink Elephant Challenge 4 - Recipe from Ellas Kitchen

This weeks challenge was a recipe to include die cuts and ribbon. I totally borrowed this idea from a stand at the craft fair at the SECC although she did it in black and white. All you do is cut a circle to match the ink (I die cut one on my Cricut) stamp part of the image (Penny Black Flying Stars stamp I bought yesterday) in Versamark then embossed in white. I stamped the main image in Brilliance Pearlescent Lavender on to a scallop card from Craftwork cards. Then embossed with clear embossing powder. You line up the die cut circle's image over the main image for a snapshot. People have probably been doing this for years but I thought it was a rather novel idea and had never seen it before. The sentiment is another Penny black stamped and embossed to match. I punched 2 hole and then thread and tied my ribbon. Added a few adhesive gemstones to fill in a blank space that need something.

Am away to try some more of these in different colours/stamps etc.

This weeks challenge was to use these colours. The papers are Anna Griffin and the stamp I borrowed from a friend but I think its Inkadinkadoo (waterolour pencils used to colour in). The challenge this week was to used glitter or sparkle and anyone who knows me will be laughing already cos I am known as the Queen of Bling!!!

Anyway used a new download I got from Pink Petticoat (Sweet Sundaes) for the backing papers and the image. The image was coloured in and glittered (of course) then matted and layered onto glitter card. Added a few sequins (I know its over the top but the theme is Glitter so I have been given license to sparkle) Added some shimmery ribbon and glittery button and I thought if I put any more on here it will not be able to stand up on its own. lol

This weeks challenge was to make a matching set, so I went for a card and matching bookmark. The papers are Damask Delight by Artylicious, I used the stamp at Craft at Home not sure who makes it and watercoloured in the butterfly adding gold stickles glue. I took some glimmer mist in starfish and tiger lily and sprayed on a bit of card to use for one of the layers. The sentiment is run through the cuttlebug just added a few gems here and there.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Romance

When I think Romance I think flowers. Used my Wind Caressed PB stamp and embossed in gold, coloured in with twinkling h2o's. Stamped and embossed the word 'Amour' in gold. The background paper is DCWV but the smaller background I used to mat the image with is a bit of white card sprayed with Glimmer Mists in Spring Violet( i have finally gave in and bought some have had my eye on them forever) I ran some cardstock through the cuttlebug and then rubbed a brilliance pearl ink pad over to match in with the other colours. Just added some fibres and a flower.

Graphicus February Challenge - Brick and Teal

This months challenge was to use either the colours brick and teal together or the theme of home or use both together. I decided to go for the colour scheme and I printed off some papers off of the Artylicious Peacock Summer Party CD. I wasnt sure if the colours would work but the of course they do or they wouldnt have used it for the challenge. I stamped and embossed in gold a stamp from Elusive Images added some bronze organza ribbon and a gold butterfly charm. Its not like me to admit it but I really like this card!

Had to use my new Russian doll stamps I got at Craft at Home. I used the 2 Scoops paper again this week. I stamped and embossed the dolls in gold and coloured in using twinkling H20's and then decoupaged them, then just cut and layered everything up according to the sketch. added some ribbon and a sentiment and a bit of stickles in aqua.

Cuttlebug Challenge 16 - Distressing

Another great challenge from the Cuttlebug Blog we were supposed to make a card using distressing techniques (whatever we preferred) I used Artylicious CD Rom Damask Delights as back ground paper along. Took some coredinations card stock in a plum colour embossed it through the cuttlebug and sanded it down, Next I tore 3 circles of blue coredinations card stock embossed them through the cuttlebug. scrunched them up and then layered them into a rose shape. (technique i learned from Allison thanks Ali) tore a couple of leaves and added a button with some string tied through it. Then I used my new Tim Holtz Distress Stickles to outline the flower. Added a peel off greeting coloured in with a permanent marker.

Had already made tons of Valentines but hadnt made one for my husband yet. Wait til you here what he did to me last year. He asked me to make myself a card, he said he couldnt buy one as nice as the ones I make (yeah right too lazy to go to the shop) So anyway I made myself a gorgeous card and charged him £20!!!!! Got some new PB stamps in so couldnt wait to get started on this one. The papers are K and Company, the stamp is from 'Hugs' transparent set. One of my favourite craft designers has started a blog challenge, so I am in on it right away. The theme was Celebrate and the colour scheme Plum and Gold. I used papers from Damask Delights CDrom by Artylicious. Some Gold Mirror and some plum coredinations card stock ran through the cuttlebug. I stamped a heart stamp i found in my stash all over the bg paper and embossed in gold. Cuttlebug Challenge #14 - page mapping sketch

Love to follow the cuttlebug challenge blog. Firstly because my friend is on the DT and also because I love my cuttlebug, it is so versatile. For this card, i cut out some scallop circles on my cbug. Then using cbug again embossed them in the stylized flower and another floral folder. The papers are from the Damask Delights CD by Artylicious. My printer was running out of coloured ink so it is a lovely soft shade, its usually a lot darker this particular background paper. The sentiment is a stamp from Penny Black. I added buttons and flower and then decided to cut out a couple of butterflies on the cbug (see what i mean about versatility) added a few adhsive gems and attached to card. I tried to follow the sketch as closely as possible it was very detailed but a great design.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Week 32

This week the challenge was to get dotty. Didnt think i had much dotty stuff but i printed out some pink petticoat paper and used a border punch with dots, embossed some white card with swiss dots on the cuttlebug. Then i drew a few extra dots on my card and on the flowers with a white gel pen. The stamp is Bunny friends. I am actually sending this card to my friend who I have recently got in touch with via Facebook. We havent seen each other in over 20 years since high school. I know she has a pet rabbit so i am guessing she will like the bunnies.
